When replacing your present Cooktop or Rangetop, first decide on the type that fits your cooking requirements. Start with the size you need. Miele makes cooktops as narrow as 11 ½ inches across. Standard sizes start at 30 inches and range upward to 36 and 60 inches.  Different types of heating are accomplished by using flat top or ceran glass surface with radiant heat or induction. Some models are of the older style with a coil element and then you have open or sealed gas burners on other models. A Cooktop can also have a center down draft or rear telescopic down draft for ventilation while cooking.

• If ordering gas fueled Cooktop, determine the type of fuel available before making your purchase. 
• If you use Propane Gas over Natural Gas, there is a slight reduction in the Manufacturers rated BTU output for the model.
• If you don’t like cleaning around knobs, look for a Cooktop with touch controls.
