VENTILATION

Something so important, yet most neglected, is a proper and adequate ventilation solution for your kitchen. Some of the styles that are available are Center Down Draft and Raised Rear Telescopic. These two types evacuate air down and out. There are also Island Hoods and Wall Hoods with internal blowers, as well as in-line and remote blowers. You can even purchase hood liners if you want to create your own signature hood. QUICKTIPS:
  • For every 10,000 BTU’s of heat you need ventilation of at least 100 CFM’s. So 60,000 BTU’s would require a 600 CFM Blower.
  • Every transition in your hard duct run lowers the manufacturer's CFM rating of your blower.
  • In-Line Blowers are used only as a boost to the Primary Blower.
  • Virtually all professional level hoods vent vertically.
