The compressor failed after 8 years. Fortunately it was covered under warranty. Unfortunately we still had to pay $500 for the service call and wait three days. We lost about $300 worth of food. The temperature reading on the outside looked like everything was good. We could never get the wify to work which might have helped. We also had a problem with the icemaker freezing up into a huge block. I fixed this by adding a piece of aluminum tape which stopped the overspray.

I did love my refrigerator. However after 5 years it died. The compressor went and repairs cost me $1255.99. 4 phone calls later Ive been trying to get a refund for the compressor which is under warranty. Customer service has been very nice but I still have nit received a refund. The fellow I spoke to in early January said Id see a check in 2-4 weeks. It died 12/29/2023 and Im still waiting. I do hope this will be resolved soon.

I have had nothing but trouble with this refrigerator. in under two years the whole thing stopped cooling and they had to come out and replace the compressor. I had my previous refrigerator decades without any major problems. I clearly have a lemon. And to top it off there are no LG repair technicians in the State of Oregon they hd to send one from another state and I had no fridge freezer for weeks.
