1st off - I didnt just buy a new LG refrigerator - no idea where you got that idea.
We were having trouble with our 7 yr old LG refrigerator and nobody seems to know why it wont stay cold
After 2 mths of playing around with it and worrying if our food is cold enough - we went out this morning and bought a new fridge - and - sorry to say - its NOT an LG.
Our 1st repairman called LG and your technician said to keep jugs of water ice in the freezer to send more cold air down into the fridge What kind of advice is that - sounds too primitive to me and yes our freezer is full of food.
For what you pay for a fridge - I expect to plug it in and it does its job
2nd repairman found a hose packed with ice and cleaned it out - didnt solve the problem. So he wanted to try a new fan in the freezer replaced that fan 2 yrs ago.
After 2 mths - we just gave up - new fridge is on its way

I bought this a month ago and Im happy so far. The inside is spacious. You may need to bend back into the fridge section to reach foods in the back. Bottom door caught my toe once so be aware. Surprisingly very quiet. Once you plug it in give it several hours to get to proper temp. The temperature stays perfect for all my foods. Easy to clean. Freezer doesnt have a light. The seal is good except when you close the freezer and the fridge will open shut/seal automatically. So far it works well. I also registered it online.
