Appliances in Woodbridge, Fredericksburg and Fairfax VA

As others have pointed out, many of the reviews here are for a different company with a similar name that farms out their installations to other companies. This review is for the actual, local Woodbridge, VA store (proof of purchase attached) that have their own delivery/installation teams. Having multiple bad experiences at big box stores and places that don't install what they sell and then make everything your problem, I wanted to find a local company that both sold and installed their products (i.e., one point of contact to be responsible for install/product issues) I purchased and had installed a new Bosch washer/dryer and it caused leaks/floods about 4-5 times that took hours to resolve each time, so why would I still give AC a 5-star rating? Other stores probably would have sent you on your way with well wishes, but AC stuck it out until we got to a resolution, trying almost everything until the issue was corrected. They came back to look at the setup with a different crew at least three times and helped clean up the water under the heavy laundry stack, each time. While they couldn’t directly diagnose the problem and it eventually took a plumber to figure out the problem which likely happened during installation, I most appreciate they didn't just push me away. Pros: * Use Charlotte Jordan to make the purchase. I had many phone conversations and emails with her throughout the process, and even after when I was dealing with leaking issues. She never rushed me, always listened, and tried to help resolve issues, even if she maybe didn't have to. She also found a way to beat the best quote I had from elsewhere by $50. I assume all places do this in the name of competition, but it was still nice. * The installation team contacted me 2-3 days in advance instead of the night before which let me plan my schedule, gave me a small delivery time window, and were on time. This alone is a rarity in this kind of work. * The installation team was extremely nice and careful. They have these funny t-shirts that say something like "super nice delivery guy" which ended up being true. They had to haul my appliances up a tight flight of stairs, but they got the job done without a single scratch anywhere. I do wish they would have cleaned up after themselves a little bit better (some water was left on my stairs and in the path from where they hauled the old washer/dryer away), but this is reasonably minor and nitpicky in the grand scheme. * Every post installation team that came out afterwards was also very friendly, let me know when they were coming by calling in advance, showed up on time, didn't rush trying to diagnose the problem and genuinely seemed to care. No complaints here. Cons: * I had the laundry installed above the 1st floor. A previous AC salesperson (not Charlotte) mentioned a washing machine drip or drain pan (to prevent leaks if the machine fails in some way) is not recommended 80% of the time and is unnecessary. I don't think this is solid advice because you don't buy these pans for the 80% of the time, you buy them for the 20% of the time when s### goes wrong. Give yourself some peace of mind and buy a metal pan (not a plastic one that cracks easily). I bought one from Killarney Metals and it was a little pricier, but maybe a small insurance policy to contain some damage should it happen. Also, having a pan below makes the machine stack a lot easier to slide if you need to move the 300+ lb. stack. * It is a small business, so even though this is what I wanted, if you have an emergency like I did the first time I experienced a leak/flood, you are likely going to have to wait a bit for an acknowledgement of the issue and a resolution. In the end, would I buy from them again? Absolutely yes.
